NEXT CAMP SAMANTHA WEEKEND – July 26-28, 2013 register
Camp Samantha is a grief camp held in Carefree, AZ and designed for children and teens ages 6-17 that have experienced the loss of a loved one. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education and emotional support. Through art, music, and a lot of talking and laughing, kids learn about death and dying. And, they learn how to begin to cope. All of this in a safe environment with other grieving children where they can realize they are not alone.
The $50 per participant registration fee includes two night’s lodging, food, activities and take-home items. Transportation to camp is not provided. Partial scholarships are available through the Steven Turner Scholarship Fund. No family is denied services based on financial capacity.
Camp Samantha is funded by the Samantha Invitational, an annual charitable golf tournament
held the first Saturday of each October in Brentwood, California
Samantha Marie Foutch
December 31, 1994-October 15, 2004
Sammy, a victim of a tragic homicide, was a vibrant (almost) 10 year old young lady who looked good in hats and nicknamed her Dad “Triple D.” She was smart, witty and always made those around her laugh…and….she was sensitive, followed the rules, cried easily and laughed a lot! Sammy was a morning person like her Dad and loved their early morning donut runs. Her hugs were so tight they hurt. Most of all she loved her sisters; her Mom; her Nina; and her Dad was her idol.
Stepping Stones of Hope gratefully celebrates Samantha’s spirit through the gentle healing experiences of the weekend.
